Free Stock Market Game for Kids: Learn by Playing

Looking for a free stock market game for kids? NewsFlash turns investing basics into a colorful board game for ages 5–12.

Money is one of the most important topics in life, but most kids never get to practice it before they're handed a debit card. NewsFlash changes that. It's a free stock market game for kids that takes the biggest ideas in investing — buying low, selling high, riding the news, and spreading out risk — and turns them into a colorful board game you can play right in your browser.

How it works

Each player starts with $1,000 in pretend NewsFlash Bucks. You spin a wheel from 1 to 12 and move around a circular board with six made-up companies: TechNova, FizzPop, SpeedRider, ConnectLink, WonderWeb, and StarQuest. Land on a company and a news card pops up. Maybe TechNova just launched a robot dog (price goes up!), or FizzPop ran out of bottles (price goes down). Then you decide: buy shares now, or wait?

Land on NEWS FLASH and the whole market shakes — every stock moves up or down at once. Land on START and you grab a $50 paycheck. After the final round, the player with the highest net worth (cash plus shares) wins.

Why it works for kids

Most investing apps assume you already know what a stock is. NewsFlash assumes you don't. Every screen uses kid-friendly language, big emojis, and whole numbers — no decimals, no jargon. Kids learn by doing: they make a choice, see the result, and try again next turn.

It's also genuinely fun. Up to six players can play, so the whole family or a classroom can join in. Games take about 15 minutes for the standard 20-round setting.

Try it free, right now

There's nothing to download and no account to make. The game runs in your browser and your progress is erased the moment you close the tab. That's it. Click play, type some names, and you're investing in five seconds. Welcome to your first stock market.
