How to Play NewsFlash

NewsFlash is a free stock market simulator for children. Here's everything you need to know in under 2 minutes.

   1. Pick your players

   Choose 1–6 players. Type names and pick a color. Each player starts with $1,000 NewsFlash Bucks.

2. ⏱️

   2. Choose round length

   Pick 10, 20, 30, 40, or 60 rounds. We recommend 20 rounds for a fun, fast game.

3. 🎡

   3. Spin the wheel

   On your turn, tap SPIN. You'll roll a number from 1 to 12 and your token moves around the circular board.

4. 🏢

   4. Land on a company

   Read the news event, watch the price change, then decide how many shares you want to buy.

   5. Land on NEWS FLASH

   A big macro event shakes ALL stock prices up or down. Plan your next move carefully!

   6. Land on START

   Flip a NewsFlash card and collect a $50 bonus paycheck.

7. 💵

   7. Sell anytime it's your turn

   Before spinning or at the end of your turn, you can sell any shares you own. The game shows your average buy price vs. current price so you know your profit or loss.

   8. Diversify!

   Buy from different companies to spread out your risk. Owning 3+ companies earns a praise badge.

9. 🏆

   9. Highest net worth wins

   After the final round, the player with the most cash + shares value wins the game.
